Anambra state born actor, Gideon Okeke made obvious his lack of interest when it concerns support for Biafra in a blunt response to a social media follower.
The
movie star though from the south-east appears not to share any
sentiment in respect to the separatist agenda being nursed by most of
his tribesmen.
An Instagram follower with the user ID, Nwotani appealed to the Tinsel star to back the Biafra cause when he wrote, "support Biafra bro if u can", but Okeke simply replied "F**k Biafra".
There
have been serious tensions and a lot of activism from the eastern
Nigeria occupants. They have looked to the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu who seems to have acquired the position of a demi-god among his kinsmen.
The Nigerian Civil War, also known as the Biafran War lasted between July 1967 to January 1970.
What
motivated the separatist agitation during the period was the 1966
anti-Igbo pogrom which saw the mass killing of Igbos in the north.
It
is 2017 and one wonders what the bone of contention is. Some Igbo
loyalists have often complained of marginalization, a lack of
opportunity in government by their kinsmen.
But
just like actor Gideon Okeke, not a lot of easterners share the
sentiments of the whole concept of Biafra. They would rather focus on
improving their lives as one Nigeria.
