Nicki Minaj's mother rubbishes report her convicted son was attacked by a gang in jail

Over weekend news emerged that Nicki Minaj’ older brother, Jelani Maraj, was attacked by a gang of inmates in prison.

Jelani was rumored to have been viciously jumped in prison by a group of rowdy inmates who allegedly targeted him due to his child molestation conviction.

Now Nicki’s mother Carol Miraj has taken to Instagram to shut down the rumors and assure everyone that her son is doing just fine and no one attacked him.

She wrote: 'Hi guys, this is a big hoax, I just saw my son. Don't let them waste your energy anymore. Be blessed.'

'Please don't give this lie any more power,' she added.
