Missing girls: Angry Dapchi residents stone Governor Gaidem's cars (photos)

Emotions went high yesterday after Yobe state governor, Ibrahim Gaidem revealed to parents and community members in Dapchi, that none of their daughters that went missing following Monday's attack by Boko Haram members has been found.

The residents accused the state government of deceiving them. Recall that on Wednesday, the state governor's press director had released a statement saying that some of the girls have been found by the military.

However, when Governor Gaidem visited the community, he informed them that none of their daughters has been found. This got the community members angry and they started to throw stones at the governor's officials and their cars. The governor has immediately whisked away from the scene while teargas was used to disperse the angry residents.
