As part of activities to mark the 50th birthday of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara which comes up on December 26th, eminent Nigerians on Sunday attended a novelty football match competition organised in his honour. The match was organised to raise funds for the Internally Displaced persons.
Some of the personalities that attended the match included Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, oil magnate Femi Otedola, Dino Melaye and others.
The football match featured National Assembly team playing against the Private Sector team which ended 3-1 in favour of the private sector, the match between Senate versus House of Representatives.ended 1-1 in favour of the House of Representatives members while serving versus Former principal officers.ended 1- 0.‎
