Police in Lilongwe, Malawi have announced the death of an
artist, Kingsley Maigwa, who was killed by angry villagers in Nkhoma
after he allegedly killed his houseboy by accident.
It was gathered that Maigwa had angrily confronted his
houseboy over missing money. After asking him several times where the
money was and didn't get a satisfactory answer, he grabbed the penis and
scrotum of his boy and squeezed them hard.
According to eye witnesses Maigwa squeezed the boy's
private parts so hard in anger that the scrotum burst, severely injuring
him.
The houseboy collapsed from the pain. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police arrested Maigwa for murder but when members of
the community got wind of what happened, they angrily stormed the police
station, dragged him out and beat him to death.
