A 16-year-old boy, Rasheed Garba has been arrested alongside members
of his robbery syndicate for terrorizing and robbing members of the
public held up in traffic at Casidi along the Badagry expressway.
Rasheed and his gang members identified as Usman Yusuf, 33, and Haruna
Jubril, 25, were apprehended while disposing of members of the public
held up in traffic of their phones, bags and other belongings.
In a related development, operatives of the Lagos state Anti-robbery
squad (sars) yesterday at about 6.30pm, arrested one Akogwu Emmanuel
25yrs and Adole Daniel 23yrs. The suspects confessed to have robbed many
passengers and terrorized commuters and vehicles along Agege Dopemu
axis. Items found on them include two locally made pistol with one (1)
SMG ammunition and two (2) live cartridges were recovered from them.The commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi, has asked members of the public that have been victims of these robbers to visit the Command to identify the suspects.
