Graphic Photos: Victims of reported communal clash in Ikot Offiong, Cross River State

 

Scores of people have been killed in communal clash between a village in Ikot Offiong, Cross River State.

Aniebiet Antia from Ikot Essien, Oku-Iboku Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom State, shared the photos on Facebook today,  calling on the Chief of Army Staff to intervene.

Sir, presently now, we are having a serious communal Clash between a certain village in our neighboring State, Ikot Offiong in (Cross River State).

Sir, this war has claimed thousand  of lives in recent times including my brother Mr. Victor Antia.

Sir, Just this evening, i received another sad news that three of my village guys who went out for their fishing business has been killed by this Ikot Offiong people.

Sir, as you know, a week ago my State hosted a security submit but unfortunately my Governor Deacon Udom Emmanuel,  failed to mention the issue affecting us rather mounting unnecessary attacked on NDDC MD/CEO.

Sir,  as a patriot, am very bitter even as am typing this post, thousands have lost their lives in my community while government officials are moving around with tick security men.

Please Sir, my community has no other means of income and livelihood apart from their fishing and farming business but unfortunately they have been cut off from their source of income.

Please Sir, with a crying heart I hereby draw your attention to our community and let this Crocodile Smile 11 be directed to my community.
