Chude Jideonwo reveals his battle with hypertension, benign prostrate hyperplasia, irritable bowel syndrome and others

In a post he shared on his IG page, award-winning media executive, Chude Jideonwo, disclosed his battle with a number of illnesses. According to him, he was diagnosed with Hypertension when he was just 19. Hope he gets totally well soon. Read what he wrote below...
Let me come out of the closet... just a little:)
I was diagnosed of High Blood Pressure when I was 19 - that’s 14 years ago.
Yup, you heard it right. My doctor was just as shocked.
All through that period, I have been diagnosed, dealt with and undergone surgeries for high blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome, benign prostrate hyperplasia, back pain, migraine and Tourette’s Syndrome, with movement disorder and OCD co-morbidities.
Going full throttle right after high school, driven by fear and pressure, will do that to you.
And I, my fantastic mother (ah, where do I begin?), with Adebola close by as well as my best friend F, have faced these challenges head on.
When I say nothing human is alien to me - I mean it. I know what I am talking about.
Out of all these things, God has healed me of three this year. He promised me last year, and he has been delivering. Doctor-confirmed. Kasa!
But I often wonder why God made me go through (and I'm still going through some of) these. Well, early this year one of my favourite Communication Associates at RED (I recruited them all personally, love ‘em!) asked me why God would allow her face illnesses that she certainly doesn’t deserve.
Throughout this year, I have wondered constantly: is this why God made me go through some of these fires? And to ensure I found joy IN SPITE of these fires, before he started to heal me one by one? So I can answer her questions? So I have a sense of what it really means to be there? So I can help people find the path that I was helped to find?
If it is, then dang! What a God.
What a gaddem fascinating God.

  • osegoldWow thank God @chudeity God will perfect the rest and do so much more than you can imagine. Your healing is made perfect in Jesus Name
  • haardey22Indeed God makes us go through some challenges so we can help others with their struggles late on life, I remember in 2007 I was in 2nd year in Unilag I started feeling a sharp pain in my chest later it developed to me passing out for some few seconds , won't know anything that happened around me,i had irregular heartbeat . I went for check up, did ECG and all was told I had a slight hole close my heart, man I died and woke up. The doctor was shocked why will a young girl like me have such a heart condition, I started treatment and all and as the child of God that I am I went on my knees and and challenged Him with His words and today am healed. Now it's easy for me to tell people going through one ailment or the other to never give up coz have been there I had one of the scariest ailment ever but thankfully am in perfect condition now.
