Last week, LIB exclusively reported the drama going on at Brila FM
when popular radio presenter, Murphy Ijemba a.ka. 'Radio Paparazzi' and
his co-host, Sean Amadi suddenly went off air without explanations.
It was reported that both OAPs quit their jobs following a redeployment by the station management.
Days after they stormed out of the office, they sent in their resignation lettters apologising for the way they left and the social media subliminals that followed which has been rejected by Brila FM on the grounds that they didn't follow the proper rules.
Sean Amadi, who sent his on the 8th of September says in part ‘Please accept this letter as notice of my resignation from my position as OAP at Brila FM. I must state that this is a very difficult considering the joy, pleasure and fulfilment of working with the Brilla family and Brilla FM in the past five years…’
Murphy Ijemba on his part says ‘My resignation is as a result of the need to improve my capacity academically and professionally…’
In Brilla FM’s official reply to both of them, the radio station states that they both did not follow due protocol of submitting a resignation letter thirty days in advance or payment of one month’s salary in lieu of said notice. Ijemba in particular is said to still owe the company a car loan repayment, which he had signed to pay the sum of two million naira or face legal action.
