Police officer shot dead as gunmen attack Bayelsa police station

One policeman was reportedly shot dead and three others were injured as some unidentified gunmen attacked a police station in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State this morning.

According to a report by Channels TV, an eyewitness said suspected oil thieves invaded the police station at about 8:00am when the shooting occured.

Just Two days ago, unidentified gunmen also struck in the Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, where they reportedly abducted a local boat owner, Mr. John Okotoro. Three weeks back, gunmen also killed some personnel of the Joint Military Task Force in the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe.
