Apapa is currently trending on Twitter following the
traffic congestion in the area due to the indiscriminate manner petrol
tankers and trailers have decided to park on the expressway. The traffic
from Apapa as at this morning, has extended down to Maryland with
motorists plying the road on standstill while passengers have resorted
to trekking.
Apapa road which leads to the Tin Can Island port
and petrol depots, is currently being rehabilitated and has been closed
down. The tanker drivers have now resorted to park their tanks on major
expressways from Apapa down to Costain to Ojuelegba and other areas,
causing iserious traffic. See twitter reactions below
