Jidenna has now joined a long list of celebrities who have shown support for the flood victims in Makurdi, Benue state.
The
Nigerian-American artiste took to his Instagram page to urge his
followers and well as other well-meaning individuals, to help by
donating to relief efforts.
The
"Classic Man" crooner did not fail to acknowledge similar events that
occurred in Sierra Leone and Houston, Texas via his social media
platform.
He captioned his post, "While
both Freetown and Houston have been enduring, more than 100,000 people
have been displaced by flooding in Benue State, Nigeria. Benue is next
to the state where I grew up so this really hits home.
"We
need more prayer and more action. Here are a couple ways to donate
directly to relief funds via bank account. #BenueRelief | #BenueFlood |
#MakurdiFlood |#PrayforBenue."
Jidenna added that the disaster in Benue hits pretty close to home as the state is next to the one he lived in as a child.
He is one of many other celebrities who has raised their voice to garner aid and relief to those who have lost family members and properties in the Makurdi disaster.
