"Are you a journalist"- Nigerian Police replies twitter user who demanded to know why officers harass people who try to film their actions

 

There have been reported cases where police officers have manhandled people who try to film them while they're carrying out their duties. People tend to record actions they believe are wrong and some Nigerians have suffered assault while trying to film officers behaving inappropriately. 

Now, a twitter user insisted that if you film a Nigerian Police officer, it's either prison or death, and he fears them more than the thugs in his area.

The verifired account of Nigeria's Police Force‏ replied him, saying; "Your interest in recording police officers should not distract them from carrying out their lawful duty. By the way, are you a journalist?"
